Why Wait to Lose Weight?  Tips to Try Now
Sometimes a blog post can sound like: Here’s something YOU should do.
But, on this post, I am writing a message to myself.

Maybe you are facing the holidays with extra weight you’d like to lose.
Browse with me over the ideas below. They might look familiar...but perhaps you haven't tried them all.
If we start now, we will be ahead of the weight-loss crowd that waits until January!

1. Write down everything you eat.
Yes, that includes those snitches while baking and the small handful of snacks you munched on the run. Everything. These little morsels add up, and it helps to notice where you’re getting your calories.

2. Always sit down to eat.
Prepare your food, sit down and eat slowly. In a relaxed state, you will be able to tell when you’re starting to feel full.

3. Cut portion sizes.
Go ahead and have some dessert, but you don’t need a whole slab of cake, right? Just a small square can satisfy. Always take a half-portion of everything. You won’t be denying yourself the taste, but you will be eating half the calories.

4. Fill up with water.
Before giving in to the snack, drink a small bottle of water. Water makes you feel full and helps with weight loss.

5. Bring healthy snacks.
Make low calorie eating easy and convenient. Tote along the healthy foods from home that curb your appetite and you will be less likely to indulge in high calorie convenience foods.

6. Add fat burning foods to your diet.

7. Don’t be discouraged.

If you blew it today, start again tomorrow. Remember, you started the weight loss race early. Although you might take a half step back now and then…you’re still steps ahead of the rest!
