My son uses a phone for YouTube. However he still has toys. We play pretend cafe and shops, we still have paint and play doh out, go to the park, play outside. He even plays with his dolls. We still Do normal childhood things. He also uses learning activities on my tablet to help with his phonics and writing. Technology can be used right in proportion

My kids are 7,4,2 and don't own a tablet or iPad ! They play with their toys, colouring!I'm old fashioned but let kids be kids

How do you know he hasn't been busy playing with all those toys, painting etc and is now watching a cartoon or playing a game? It doesn't mean he's on it for hours!

My grandson has Downs syndrome and is also Autistic and is unable to speak ,but he would be lost without his ipad. He is able to find all the children's programmes he likes, playing some over and over again. He is now 17 bless him.

Today after lunch took my kids and a friend of theirs on a walk over woods where I used to play as a kid - total tomboy - they ran, climbed trees - through sticks into stream ... somehow got into the stream - so much fun

My 4 year old has a tab her favourite thing is to watch pingu and her favourite game is CBeebies alpha blocks. Her battery lasts an hour if she lucky and then she can't play it again untill I remember to charge it. She would rather be playing with her toys or doing something active she loves football and does martial arts that she does at least one run through everynight

I don't see a problem with children being tech savvy in the world be live in today! Everything's electrical! Toys are important too but that's not to say letting them use technology is wrong!

This makes me angry ๐Ÿ˜  why can't parents play/teach there kids instead of putting them in front of a TV or phone, it's just laziness

My little has her play dough, sand, paint, pens out every other day and she's always roll playing with her kitchen or shop/dolls this is why my house looks like a nursery ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ’ฏwouldn't have it any other way! Only kids once! it's the foundation of they're personality โ™ฅ๏ธ #letkidsbekids #funmess

I agree with all the comments below. If u decide to buy your child a tablet / phone its then your responsibillty to limit the time spent on them.

I know that feeling, my little boy has special needs and all the toys he has and still only his tablet will do

All bs.. The problem with kids today is most the parents don't give a shit about teaching them morals and respect!!!

Agree.....lack of engagement with an adult, not technology itself.

I loved my toys. I would like my children to learn through play. Not all technology.
